They're kinda creepy, if you think about it... |
Getting sick of the summer lineup already? Well, I sure am. I can only take so many explosions, superstunts, robots, pathetic CGI, and that pesky 3D. Think it’s too early to think about Oscar films and the Academy Awards season? Phsh. No and no.
I plan to break the following list of films into four segments of three, assuming I actually get around to it…….. Those segments will go into more detail as to why I think they will be among the select few at the 84th Academy Award in 2012.

ReplyDeletethis loses any attempt at being correct with harry potter
ReplyDeleteUm. Really? While the franchise has been, shall-we-say, less than an Academy Award hotbed, I see no reason why HP, Pt. II shouldn't at least be a contender for categories in Visual Effects, Cinematography, etc. Even though the franchise as a whole has only one Oscar nom (Half-Blood Prince for Best Cinematography), Parts I and II of installment 7 has been far better than the others in the series. And since I gave a super early prediction that HP, Pt. II will be a contender immediately destroys the validity of any of the other films I listed being Oscar-worthy? Please. I realize some of them are far-fetched, but c'mon, like I said, it's early.
ReplyDeleteI will explain my choices further... Stay tuned.
