Good evening, reader. Or perhaps, reader, good day. It's evening for me.
Dear reader, I watch movies and television on a regular basis, because it is less stressful and expensive than finding a girlfriend. Sometimes I enjoy this pastime. More often, I break down, foam at the mouth at the abject stupidity to which I am witness, and then turn the damn thing off. I then rant incoherently about it on the internet, making increasingly heavy and annoying use of italics.
My name is Blackthorne, Esquire, or more accurately that is the obviously fake name by which I go in order that the cyberpolice (or perhaps, reader, you) do not descend upon me personally when I inevitably rustle your jimmies. You see, reader, I am under no illusions about my incoherent ranting. It tends to draw reprisal in kind. In some circles, this is known as the time-honored staple of trolling: in others, it is more eloquently known as NO U.
And indeed, reader, there will be incoherent ranting. If you have movie news, and I have movie news, and I have a very good internet connection - there it is, that's an internet connection, you see? - Are you watching? - and my connection reaches across the internet and starts to read your movie news - I rant about your movie news! I rant about it!
Again, good evening.

On another, somewhat more related note, movies kind of rock. I've been watching them recently at an exponentially increasing pace, and need a place to vent about how good (or, in the case of The Last Airbender, God-awful) they are. That being said, I'm super lazy and love to procrastinate.
Emma Watson will be my bride.
Oh, I feel like I should probably mention my Lord of the Rings obsession. It'll come up on a regular basis. Books read: 14 times. Movies watched: Um... more than that. Just.... just a lot. Anyways, I figured I would quick toss that in there.
I love movies, I'm mildly (slash excessively) obsessed with Zooey Deschanel, and I currently have a lot of free time, so hopefully you'll all get to know me and my opinions about movies a lot better in the near future.
Now all I need to do is find an awesome quote to use as my signature at the end of every post. Hm . . . should we go trendy and confusing (coughInceptioncough) or old school (Star Wars)? Or how about self-deprecating and related (I don't take the movies seriously, and anyone who does is in for a headache. - Bette Davis)? Naw, I'm gonna stick with a good old fashioned inside joke:

If there are two things which I enjoy doing more than anything else they are watching things happen and writing about things which I am watching happen. As writing for a movie blog allows me to do both of these things simultaneously it only made sense for me to continue work for YAMB. I look forward to guiding the blog along and seeing where it might take both myself and my fellow contributors.

Well. Ain't that swell. I haven't even come up with a worthwhile post about movies, and I already assembled a team to share the workload. Lazy? Yep.
I have begun to assemble a team. As I begin to select them (I feel soooo powerful!), they will introduce themselves in a blog post.
So... thus ends my "Solo Debut".
The end of the beginning is the beginning to... a team of bloggers. (that sounded cooler in my head...)
I hope this will be an elite force of movie bloggers!
and I really hope it will be an exciting time, but we shall see...
Welcome to the Movie Blog Site: Yet Another Movie Blog at reallyobsessedwithfilm.blogspot.com. Allow me to introduce myself. I am Peter Schipper, a small, movie obsessed Asian kid. If you do not like my blog, I suggest you take it up with one of my friends (who may or may not be named Nate Slauer). Why, you ask? Well, in short, he told me to create one. Bear with me, as this is my first blog (Special thanks to Blogger are in order, as well.). Suggestions are very welcome! I have had previous blogging experience in sports, but the blog was never my own. This is, shall we say, my solo debut.
This blog will feature the latest movie news gathered from around the 'net, as well as a few actual movie reviews. My movie watching abilities in theaters are impeded on by time, money, time, time, and well, time. I am currently gearing up for college and have auditions and other college-y things to pursue. Don't get me wrong, I (think) I'll like managing this blog.
Thank you for following! Let's hope it's a fun ride!
